As some people may have seen, the Red Sox Game last night was UGLY! The Sox committed 4 errors and managed to lose 10 - 3. While it is still quite early in the season, it was a bad loss. There were at least a few Fenway highlights to make up for terrible on field play.
First, the Monster Dog was as delicious and large as I remembered it. For those who don't know, this is a foot long hotdog that is also about 2 inches in diameter (I'm not kidding). It is huge and well worth the $6.75 price tag. Everything at Fenway is going to cost you (7 bucks for a domestic light beer), so you might as well get something you feel gets you your money's worth.
Second, there was a fly foul ball hit two rows in front of us. The guy sitting in the row went for the catch, had the ball bounce out of his hands and fall to the seats below us (we were in an upper deck area). The whole stadium then let this poor guy know their opinion of his drop (which was not as bad as Wily Mo Pena's error during the game). It was funny and there is a chance we were on TV as the guy in the row in front of us got a call from a friend who had seen him on the broadcast.
Overall, Fenway is a good, fun experience. Plus, the Yankees lost again last night, so Boston is in first in the division and the Stankees are in last.
